Nothing seems sacred to some thieves: several tools were stolen from the construction site in the southern arcade wing of the Benediktbeuern monastery over the weekend. According to the police, the unknown perpetrator first gained access to the construction site in the south building of the monastery. There he violently opened – probably with a stone – a locked wooden box and stole tools and accessories worth no less than 4,000 euros. The crime happened between 11:30 a.m. Friday last week and 7 a.m. Monday. Witnesses are asked to contact the Bad Tölz police on 08041/761060.
