What happened on Saturday in Bas-Rhin?
A 15-year-old girl disappeared on Saturday near Saint-Blaise-la-Roche (Bas-Rhin), the Saverne public prosecutor’s office announced on Monday, which opened an investigation into a “disturbing disappearance”. The young girl, named Lina, had to walk from her home to the Saint-Blaise-la-Roche station, three kilometers away, in order to reach Strasbourg and meet a friend there who, not seeing her arrive, raised the alarm. Saint-Blaise-la-Roche is a very small town in the Vosges massif, with around 230 inhabitants, located around sixty kilometers southwest of Strasbourg.
Lina entered CAP personal assistance this year in an establishment a few kilometers from Saint-Blaise-la-Roche, according to Thibault. Her parents are separated, her mother is a nurse and Lina apparently no longer had much of a relationship with her father.
Where is the investigation?
The investigation was entrusted to the Strasbourg research section, jointly with the Bas-Rhin gendarmerie group. According to the first checks, the young girl “did not get on the train”, indicates the public prosecutor of Saverne, Aline Clérot. The teenager “was not known to have run away until then, according to the first hearings”, indicates the magistrate.
In order to find Lina, the Schirmeck gendarmerie also launched a call for witnesses. The teenager is 1.60 m tall, has shoulder-length blonde hair, and was wearing a gray dress, a short white down jacket and white high-top converse. Several searches were organized at the potential locations of the disappearance, notably mobilizing a dog team. Monday afternoon, around a hundred people took part in a hunt, “supervised by the gendarmerie and assisted by a helicopter equipped with thermal cameras”, further specified the Saverne prosecutor’s office.
In vain. The research notably followed the route of a little more than three kilometers of a small road crossing the mountain and which Lina could have taken, on foot, in particular along the cycle path which runs along the Breux pond, located at the exit from Saint-Blaise-La-Roche. It was also at the station of this village, located about sixty kilometers southwest of Strasbourg, that the young woman went to reach the European capital. In a brief statement Monday evening made to the press at the end of the fight; the teenager’s mother, very moved, confirmed that Lina had “left the house around 11 a.m. to go to the station.
