It was supposed to be an evening of dance luminaries: Euro dance icon DJ Bobo (54) competed against “Let’s Dance” juror Joachim Llambi (58) on “Beat the Star”.
Both presented themselves in top shape, Llambi still claimed: “Nothing can happen to me. A Joachim Llambi has no weaknesses.” A fatal mistake!
But already with the first game “Blow out the candles” it got exhausting – DJ Bobo had already had enough and gasped: “Can we stop? Holy tin.” Moderator Elton (51) got nervous: “I’m just a bit worried about Mr. Baumann (DJ Bobo’s real last name, editor’s note). Are you all right?”
However, the exhausting puff action was only a small thing compared to what was to come.
Game four was called “Ice Penalty Shootout” and took place right there: on a mirror-smooth ice surface. Here the two opponents had to score goals in bowling shoes, which the other should keep.
Llambi did it for the first time after a short time, but Elton remained calm: “We have the equipment for that. But now he’s going a little rough. Everything okay?” Llambi was still doing well here – but the next fall looked particularly painful.
The “Let’s Dance” judge fell on his side and stayed put. He yelled loudly: “Ow!” – and shocked commentator Ron Ringguth (56), who immediately asked for help: “Our doctor will come to help in a moment. Not good, not good, not good!”
Llambi was quickly examined on the ice, while Elton announced: “So that we can examine this more closely, let’s go quickly to advertising.”
After the break, the all-clear: Llambi was able to stand again, but complained of pain in the rib area: “Breathing properly or coughing is not fun. I don’t know if it’s broken or just torn. Rib arch is always stupid.”
After another slow motion of the fall, Elton could not resist a nasty saying alluding to Llambi’s job as a juror on “Let’s Dance”: “That was a good 3rd, nothing more.”
