In Swabia, a small child escaped unnoticed from a first floor apartment at night. A 29-year-old newspaper delivery boy discovered the two-year-old alone on a sidewalk in Illertissen (Neu-Ulm district) early Saturday morning and brought him to the station, the police announced on Monday. He then fell asleep there after playing. Meanwhile, officers checked the immediate area where the boy was found, but found no evidence of his parents’ residence.
It wasn’t until a few hours later that a relative came to the police station to report the missing person. According to the statement, the grandfather said the family had been searching for the two-year-old for hours. He was safely handed over to his mother.
