Bavaria: The hunters are arguing again – the reason is the termination of the ex-managing director – Bavaria

The current reason is the immediate dismissal of the former general manager of the hunting association, which he successfully contested. There is talk of up to half a million euros in damage to the organization.

It was only in December 2020 that the Bavarian hunters elected the then CSU state parliament member Ernst Weidenbusch – due to the corona pandemic and the lockdown at the time – as president of the Bavarian Hunting Association (BJV). The BJV, in which around 50,000 hunters are organized, was in a deep crisis at the time and was completely divided. Among other things, it was about allegations of alleged financial irregularities against Weidenbusch’s predecessor Jürgen Vocke and his leadership style. Weidenbusch, who was only a simple member of the BJV until his election as hunter president, claimed at the time to be completely unencumbered by the BJV’s past and to stand for a new beginning.
