Less than 24 hours pass before the Free State’s latest hydrogen plans are already being torn apart. “It certainly makes sense that research into green hydrogen is being carried out in Bavaria and that one or the other production plant is being set up,” says Michael Remy, energy expert for the Federal Nature Conservation Agency (BN), on Monday. “But if Prime Minister Markus Söder and Economics Minister Hubert Aiwanger want to give the impression that the problems with the energy transition and climate protection in Bavaria can be solved with green hydrogen, then they distract from their political failures.”
