Bavaria: Söder sends teachers to demand less part-time work – Bavaria

The teacher shortage is getting worse and there are no real solutions yet. The Prime Minister is suggesting less part-time work, which would bring quick success – and is already causing outrage in schools.

Since Prime Minister Markus Söder discovered the topic of schools, he has regularly sent shockwaves through the teachers’ rooms with his ideas. The latest example this week at the CSU parliamentary group meeting in Kloster Banz: Bavarian teachers should work more full-time in order to compensate for the teacher shortage. Access to part-time work should be made more difficult. A long-running issue that Söder has been bringing up regularly for two years. The excitement at the schools is always great, but nothing has been implemented yet.
