An accident with a dead passenger on a dirt road between Bad Windsheim and Lenkersheim in Central Franconia is a mystery to the police. The police found the 60-year-old passenger dead in the accident vehicle. “Since the damage pattern indicates that the speed at the time of the accident was low, it is now being examined whether the man’s death was related to the accident,” the investigators said. According to initial findings, the 28-year-old driver apparently wanted to reverse his car when he left the road and slipped into a ditch. As the police further reported, an alcohol test in the 28-year-old showed almost two per thousand. He had alerted the rescue services himself, but they could only determine the death of the passenger. The 60-year-old had no external injuries, which is why the exact cause of death is still unclear, according to the police. The public prosecutor’s office requested an arrest warrant against the 28-year-old because of the risk of absconding.
