Bavaria: Possible health hazard – brewery recalls soda – Bavaria

Because of a possible danger, the Upper Bavarian estate and brewery cooperative Taufkirchen/Vils is recalling two lemonades as a precaution. This affects Taufkirchner Zwietscherl Cola-Mix and Taufkirchner Sauers Zwietscherl with the best before date (MHD) October 4th, 2023, as the brewery announced. The reason for the recall is a bottle contaminated with lye. This can cause chemical burns. Therefore, as a precaution, the entire batch is being recalled.

Consumers can return the affected bottles to retailers and have the purchase price reimbursed even without a receipt. According to the “Lebensmittelwarning.de” portal, the products were only sold in Bavaria. According to the manufacturer, other batches of lemonades are not affected by the recall.
