A 31-year-old fell and died in the Tegelberg area in Schwangau (Ostallgäu district). On Friday, people reported a lifeless person below the cable car lift route, as the police announced on Monday. Because of the onset of night and difficult weather conditions, emergency services from the mountain rescue service and the police Alpine task force were only able to rescue the body on Holy Saturday.
It was initially unclear where exactly the man fell from, as was any further background information. The police had not received a missing person report, said a spokesman. According to the current status, there is no evidence of foul play.
