After the scandal surrounding sham vaccinations by a family doctor from the Swabian town of Wemding, the public prosecutor’s office in Nuremberg has now filed charges. She accuses the man of only faking a vaccination against the coronavirus from mid-April to the end of September 2021 in 176 patients in 314 cases – sometimes with the first and second vaccination. He is said to have issued false vaccination certificates to at least 40 opponents of vaccination. According to the Attorney General’s Office, the doctor has made himself liable to prosecution for intentional bodily harm, fraud and knowingly incorrect documentation of vaccinations against the corona virus. The district court of Augsburg must now decide whether to admit the charges.
At the end of last year, the Dillingen criminal police set up their own investigative team to investigate what was happening in the Donau-Ries district. During searches, more than 200 officers were deployed to search the homes of about 100 people. In the course of the campaign, blood was drawn from 50 people to test whether they were actually vaccinated.
According to the Bavarian Central Office for Combating Fraud and Corruption in the Health Care System (ZKG), which is based at the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Nuremberg and has taken on the investigation into the fake vaccinations, the family doctor is said to have been alone in the treatment room with his patients. According to investigators, he then emptied the syringes and stabbed his patient in the buttocks from behind. They therefore did not notice that they were only empty syringes and left the practice believing that they were now vaccinated against the Sars-Cov-2 virus – but actually had no antibodies whatsoever. The family doctor documented a normal vaccination in the vaccination card.
Because the consent to be given an injection was subject to an actual vaccination, the public prosecutor evaluates the procedure as intentional bodily harm. The doctor also accounted for the vaccinations, which is said to have caused damage of 3000 euros. The District Court of Nuremberg had already issued a provisional professional ban.
The investigations were prompted by numerous reports from the population that the doctor was making conspiracy theories and was issuing false vaccination cards to opponents of vaccination. In the meantime, there are also the first judgments against vaccination opponents who have had the doctor issue false vaccination certificates.
