A 39-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries in an argument with two men at a church fair in Middle Franconia. According to the police, he was taken to a hospital in a rescue helicopter on Sunday night. The police were able to arrest a 22-year-old suspect in the morning hours. He is now being investigated on suspicion of attempted murder.
At the folk festival in Markt Bibart in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district, a dispute between the 39-year-old and two 22-year-olds he knew escalated. According to the police, one of the two 22-year-olds hit the victim on the head with a glass bottle. He was then inflicted with several stab wounds using a previously unknown object, the police report said. The two suspects then fled. The public prosecutor’s office has filed an application for detention against the arrested man. The police are still searching for the alleged accomplice.
