Satou Sabally continues to cause a stir in the WNBA. The German national basketball player has a good chance of appearing in the All-Star game of the North American women’s basketball league for the second time since 2021.
Satou Sabally continues to cause a stir in the WNBA. The German national basketball player has a good chance of appearing in the All-Star game of the North American women’s basketball league for the second time since 2021.
In the first evaluation of the fan vote, Sabally received the seventh most votes of all players.
Although Sabally had to admit defeat to the Los Angeles Sparks with the Dallas Wings by 61:79, the 25-year-old was still convincing with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Sabally managed the seventh double-double in a row, i.e. double-digit values in two categories. In the history of the Dallas Wings, no player has ever achieved such a series, in WNBA history only seven other players have done so.
Sabally is in her fourth season in the WNBA, and with 21.1 points per game, she is the fifth-best thrower in the league. Sabally decided not to take part in the European Championship. The German women’s national team starts this Thursday in the European Championship – their first since 2011.
