NBA: LeBron James suffers the biggest defeat of his career

LeBron James has been playing in the NBA since 2003 and no one has been on the field for as many minutes as him. The superstar has never experienced a defeat like the one on Monday evening against the Philadelphia 76ers.
LeBron James has the biggest defeat of his NBA career conceded. The basketball superstar lost with the Los Angeles Lakers 94:138 against the Philadelphia 76ers. He has never had to accept a 44-point deficit since his debut in the North American league in 2003.
“What needs to change so that this doesn’t happen again? A lot,” said the 38-year-old after a game in which he didn’t get a single rebound and there was never a real showdown with Joel Embiid on the other side.
Embiid, last season’s most valuable player (MVP), dominated the Lakers so obviously that after three quarters he recorded a so-called triple double of 30 points and 11 assists and rebounds each and was no longer on the field in the final quarter. The 76ers still decided the final quarter 40:14 in their favor.
In the 290 duels between the 76ers and the Lakers, there has never been a clearer defeat for the NBA record champions. The fact that James is now the basketball player with the most minutes played in the history of the NBA, replacing former Lakers professional Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the record holder, remained a marginal aspect.
Defeat for Theis and the Clippers
Daniel Theis lost with the Los Angeles Clippers at home 104:113 against the Denver Nuggets, although the champions were missing Serbian star Nikola Jokic due to back problems. The Clippers still led 90:80 at the start of the last quarter, then the guests turned the game around. World champion Theis scored four points for his new team in twelve minutes of action. Kawhi Leonard was the best scorer with 31 points, while Reggie Jackson stood out for Denver with 35 points and 13 assists.
