Nicknamed “Chouchou,” a 15-year-old, 3-kg chihuahua was devoured by a pitbull-type dog, leaving his family in shock and tears, reports The Republican East. Stéphanie and Guillaume had entrusted their little dog before going on vacation to the young woman’s mother, who was also very attached to their little dog. Aged 80 and living in Vandoeuvre, near Nancy, she walked Chouchou on a leash early Thursday afternoon, near elementary and nursery schools.
Everything was going well until she came across a man holding a kind of pit bull not muzzled but on a leash. “Arriving a few meters from her, the man dropped his leash and the dog rushed” towards the two walkers, Stéphanie reports to our colleagues. Seriously injured, the chihuahua was transported in critical condition to a clinic where he was finally euthanized, leaving a grandmother very shocked. A complaint has been filed.
