Defending champions Alba Berlin and Bayern Munich have made a successful start to the Bundesliga play-offs. The winner of the main round from Berlin beat Brose Bamberg 114:89 (61:45) in the first quarter final. The Munich team won 77:53 (36:31) against their feared opponent Niners Chemnitz and are now leading 1:0 in the series. Munich’s best pitchers were Malcolm Thomas with 15 points and Nick Weiler-Babb (13). Game two continues in Munich this Sunday (8.30 p.m. / MagentaSport). Chemnitz had won the two duels in the main round as well as in the cup against Bayern. Whoever wins three games first reaches the semi-finals.
