“James Bond” is “reinvented”

Producer Barbara Broccoli has revealed what’s going on in the search for a James Bond successor to Daniel Craig.
Barbara Broccoli (62) has in an interview with the US industry portal “Deadline” Fans had little hope that a new “James Bond” film could soon make it to the big screen. The producer of the hit franchise said it will be “at least two years” before filming begins on the next 007 film. The search for an actor to replace Daniel Craig (54) has not even begun because “a reinvention of Bond” is in development.
Barbara Broccoli: “It takes time”
No one is in the race so far, Broccoli explained. “We’re thinking about where to go with him, we’re going to talk it through.” There’s no script yet, and “we can’t come up with one until we’ve decided how we’re going to approach the next film,” the producer said. “We’re reinventing who he is and that takes time.”
Recently, the “James Bond” producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson (80) were honored by Prince William (40) with the Order of Knights CBE. The royal is “unfortunately busy, but he would be the perfect candidate”, joked Broccoli, according to the “Independent”.
In recent months there has been countless speculation about a potential successor to the role of the secret agent. Names such as Regé-Jean Page (34), Henry Cavill (39), Aidan Turner (39) as well as Michael Fassbender (45) and Tom Hardy (44) were mentioned. Daniel Craig gave up his MI6 career after five films after No Time To Die.
