Baking Easter lamb: Where does the tradition come from?

In Christianity, Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who, according to the New Testament, is also referred to as the “Lamb of God” (John 1:29). Recipe for a vegan Easter lamb

To prepare a vegan version of the traditional Easter lamb, you first need the following (purely plant-based) ingredients:

And this is how you prepare the vegan Easter lamb:

  1. Step: Preheat your oven to approx. 175 degrees (fan oven).
  2. Step: Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them with the milk and cooking oil until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
  3. Step: Grease the Easter lamb baking pan with sunflower oil, vegan butter or margarine a.
  4. Step: Dust a thin layer of flour over the fat in the baking pan, preferably using a fine sieve.
  5. Step: Pour enough dough into the baking pan until it is two-thirds full. Allow a few centimeters of air to rise.
  6. Step: Place the baking pan on the lowest shelf in the oven.
  7. Step: Allow the cake to bake for approximately 40 to 45 minutes.
  8. Step: Place the baking pan on a rack and let it cool completely.
  9. Step: Remove the lamb from the mold and dust it with a thin layer of powdered sugar.
