A trip through two hostile states is ambitious. Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock deliberately made her way to Athens first and from there to Istanbul and Ankara. The concern of the Greens during her first visit as foreign ministers to Greece and Turkey was to promote unity and dialogue between the NATO members Greece and Turkey in the times of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine and the Kremlin’s attempts to split them.
