Two days after the start of investigations into Baden-Württemberg’s Interior Minister Thomas Strobl (CDU) for passing on a lawyer’s letter to the press, the public prosecutor’s office searched the ministry. Documents were confiscated. The Ministry of the Interior stated that the prosecution had been given the full information immediately. They rely on “maximum cooperation with the public prosecutor’s office”. The background to the allegations against the minister are investigations into a leading police officer on suspicion of sexual harassment. Because Strobl passed on a letter from the accused officer’s lawyer to a journalist, he is now also under investigation.
