Shots kill a young man in the center of Albstadt in Baden-Württemberg. But that’s not all: the suspect leads the investigators to a second body. For the police, the work is just beginning.
A magistrate is expected to decide this Thursday whether a 52-year-old will be remanded in custody for two crimes. The man is said to have killed a 20-year-old relative and buried her in his garden. On the other hand, the investigators accuse him of having shot a 23-year-old several times on Wednesday in the center of Albstadt (Baden-Württemberg). The man died a little later in the hospital. The motive for the deeds was still completely nebulous. “Of course, the investigation is now in full swing,” said a police spokeswoman.
The exact relationship between the three people was initially left open. It can be assumed that the woman and the suspect knew the 23-year-old, said the spokeswoman. They are Italians, the woman also has German citizenship.
The police arrested the 52-year-old suspect shortly after the shooting near his home. He said he didn’t resist. During the interrogation, he was largely silent, but pointed out the buried body.
It could very likely be a 20-year-old who has been missing since Sunday, the message said. The woman was apparently the victim of a crime. According to the spokeswoman, the identity of the dead and the circumstances of how she died should also be further investigated on Thursday.
According to the announcement, the woman and the 52-year-old lived in the same house, but in different apartments. Officers seized a handgun from the suspect. The question is where he got it from.
