Bad Reichenhall: A car goes crazy – Bavaria

In Bad Reichenhall, Upper Bavaria, a driverless and locked car became independent on Wednesday morning, after a short ghost ride through the pedestrian zone near the Kurhaus, it hit a bicycle stand head-on and got stuck there with the engine running and tires spinning. Because the tires were getting hotter and smoking more and more, the volunteer fire brigade had to move in. It was only after a window was smashed that the engine of the idiosyncratic car was stopped.

This was reported on Wednesday by a spokesman for the Bavarian Red Cross in Berchtesgadener Land, which was also alarmed. Accordingly, the driver of the car had pulled the handbrake and got out because the car had made strange noises and stopped. Then, however, the car suddenly rolled on again without the woman and drove into the pedestrian zone. Passers-by were not in his way there, and the 36-year-old driver also got away with the shock, according to the BRK. The Bad Reichenhall police assume a technical defect as the cause.
