Silver medalist at the London Olympics in 2012, then Olympic champion in Rio four years later, Neymar could well see himself defending his title this summer in Tokyo.
According to the Brazilian website UOL, the striker wants to convince PSG to let him go to Japan for this tournament organized from July 22 to August 7. Each selection can include three players born before January 1, 1997 in its final list of 18 elements.

If the 29-year-old star, who has just extended his contract until 2025, obtains satisfaction, she would miss at least the possible Champions Trophy (August 1 in Tel Aviv) and the first day of Ligue 1, the week -end of August 7 and 8. Not sure that the Parisian club is very warm to this idea, when it must already manage the Mbappé case, preselected by the French Olympic team.

Neymar will already participate in the Copa America, from June 11 to July 10 in Argentina and Colombia. But this competition, like the Euro, corresponds to Fifa dates, during which the clubs are obliged to release their selected players. This is not the case with the Olympics.
