Pop star Harry Styles is one of the big winners of this year’s awards season. After the Grammys, the British singer is now also raking in the most important music prizes in his home country.

Pop superstar Harry Styles (“As It Was”) is the big winner of this year’s Brit Awards with four awards. With his album “Harry’s House”, the 29-year-old won the award in the most important category “Album of the Year” at the award ceremony in London, as he did at the Grammys a week ago. He also scooped Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop/R&B Act trophies. “This album and this song was the most fun I’ve ever had making music,” the former One Direction singer said in one of his acceptance speeches.

Styles thus secured the award in all four categories in which he had been nominated. The indie rock duo Wet Leg (“Chaise Longue”), which received the “Brits” for best band and best new artist, also received four nominations. Grammy record winner Beyoncé also won two awards for International Artist and International Song of the Year, “Break My Soul.”

Alongside the Grammys awarded in Los Angeles, the Brit Awards are among the most important music prizes in the world. As of last year, the “Brits” categories are no longer separated by gender. Those responsible responded to criticism from singer Sam Smith, who had identified as non-binary and complained that he could not be nominated in any category. On Saturday night, Smith was in the running for Song of the Year with Kim Petras for the duet “Unholy,” but lost out to Styles with “As It Was.”
