Cologne-born singer Kim Petras and British singer Sam Smith have been honored at this year’s Grammys for their club hit “Unholy”. At the ceremony, they won the trophy for best pop duo. This makes the German the first trans person in the history of the Grammys to be honored in this category.

“Unholy” peaked at number one in the UK and US in autumn 2022. The song is about a family man having fun in a strip club.

The 65th Grammy Music Awards were presented on Monday night in Los Angeles. The gala was again moderated by comedian Trevor Noah. According to the organizer, Grammys should be awarded in 91 categories this year.
