The cabaret artist Luise Kinseher has been on stage for over two decades and impresses her audience with deep humor and a sharp tongue. For this she is to receive a prize in 2022.

The Lower Bavarian cabaret artist Luise Kinseher (52) will be awarded the “Salzburger Stier” 2022. Kinseher is a versatile full-blooded cabaret artist and combines philosophical depth with political sharpness and absurd wit, the jury justified their decision.

The artist, who has been on stage since 1998, has developed her own, unmistakable style: “She is intelligent and hilarious, human touching and clearly analyzing, down-to-earth and cosmopolitan.”

The award ceremony is to take place on May 21, 2022 in Lindau on Lake Constance as part of a week-long cabaret festival, as announced by Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) in Munich.

The “Salzburger Stier”, each endowed with € 6,000, is a radio prize for satire and has been awarded jointly by the public broadcasters ARD, ORF, SRF and Rai Südtirol since 1982. The BR will be the lead organizer in 2022. Three artists are honored annually – one each from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The cabaret artist and musician Omar Sarsam wins for Austria, the winner for Switzerland is the duo Fatima Moumouni & Laurin Buser.
