“In this remarkable award year, we are seeing what contemporary television can do,” emphasized the director of the Grimme Institute, Frauke Gerlach. The quality profile of the Grimme year 2021 includes “an impressive cultural diversity that can counteract the increasing arbitrariness of content and form driven by network logic”.
