The Bavarian Film Prize is one of the most prestigious and well-paid awards in the German film industry. The prize goes to Hannah Herzsprung – and not for the first time.

actress Hannah Herzsprung receives the Bavarian Film Prize for best actress. She will receive the 10,000 euro award for her role in the film “15 Years,” as the Bavarian State Chancellery announced. Film Minister Florian Herrmann (CSU) praised the 42-year-old as an “exceptional acting talent”.

The jury’s statement says: “At first glance, Hannah Herzsprung is delicate and delicate, but in front of the camera she develops a radical anger and force that sometimes thrills the audience, sometimes shocks them, but will definitely remain in their memory forever.”

The Bavarian Film Prize will be awarded on January 19th at the Prinzregententheater in Munich. It’s not the first for Herzsprung. She already received it years ago for her role in “4 Minutes” – back then in the “best young female talent” category.

The Bavarian Film Prize has been awarded since 1979 and is one of the most prestigious and well-paid awards in the German film industry. It is endowed with prize money totaling 300,000 euros and is awarded in a total of eleven categories based on suggestions from an eleven-person jury of experts.
