As reported by the police, the driver found the man sleeping on the train at around 1.45 a.m. at the terminus of the S 7 in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn early Friday morning and woke him up. The 42-year-old truck driver actually wanted to do the man a favor. But according to the police report, the heavily intoxicated passenger must have misunderstood something. Because the 52-year-old suddenly stepped on the S-Bahn driver, bit his arm, hit him in the face and then fled.

Although another 21-year-old passenger followed him and also brought him to the ground, Ickinger was able to escape at first. Alerted forces of the Bavarian state police were then able to locate the 52-year-old in a local search, arrest him and hand him over to the federal police. She is now investigating the man for assault. The Ickinger, who, according to the police, had a blood alcohol level of 2.12 per mille, was able to leave the station in the Ostbahnhof after the police investigation was completed. The S-Bahn driver was taken care of by an ambulance. He was in shock and had to be relieved.
