The weather on German Unity Day was quite autumnal in northern Germany. In the coastal regions of the North and Baltic Seas, warnings from the German Weather Service about squalls are still in effect until this morning.
There is a warning of squalls with wind speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour along the entire German sea coast. The coastal districts in Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are affected, as well as the inland areas in northern Schleswig-Holstein. The warning from the German Weather Service (DWD) extends until 10 a.m. on Wednesday in most regions. The meteorologists point out that the strong wind can cause individual branches to fall. Anyone who spends time outside should pay particular attention to falling objects.
It’s getting a little cooler in the north
