For Alexander Fischhold, the summer holidays are an extremely busy time: “There’s no such thing as a vacation.” The 50-year-old theologian heads the Catholic telephone pastoral care of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising. Last year, 36,000 people, most of them from the greater Munich area, contacted us by phone, chat or email and told us what was on their minds: loneliness is a big issue, and for many young people the consequences of the Corona years as well .
