Historical series, annual review or crime thriller? The viewers in Germany were once again spoiled for choice on Tuesday evening at primetime.

With the new historical series “Sisi”, RTL achieved a good score in the target group. All in all, 2.41 million viewers (8.0 percent) tuned into the first episode of the reinterpretation of the life of the Austrian Empress on Tuesday evening from 8.15 p.m.

In the target group of 14 to 49 year olds, which is important for advertising sales, the audience rate was 13.0 percent. The entertaining history lesson increased slightly with the second episode. The six-part series with Dominique Devenport and Jannik Schümann in the leading roles had previously been shown on the RTL + streaming service.

The strongest broadcast in prime time, however, was the annual review “2021 – The Quiz” with Frank Plasberg, which attracted 5.52 million (20.7 percent) in the first. Florian Silbereisen competed for the first time against the experienced rate crew Günther Jauch, Barbara Schöneberger and Jan Josef Liefers.

The second part of the ZDF crime thriller “Murder in the Family – The Magic Cube” with Matthias Koeberlin, Heiner Lauterbach, Lucas Gregorowicz and Petra Schmidt-Schaller saw 4.71 million (15.7 percent). The fantasy classic “The Neverending Story”, based on the international book success by Michael Ende, attracted 1.08 million viewers (3.7 percent) at Kabel Eins.

The Sat.1 report «110 Emergency Call Autobahn! With hardness & humor »1.06 million (3.6 percent) watched. 1.02 million (3.4 percent) were enthusiastic about the animated film “Hotel Transsilvanien 2” on Vox. In the American adventure film “The Mummy” with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz on ZDFneo, 920,000 people (3.1 percent) sat in front of the television. 890,000 people (3.1 percent) spent the evening with the ProSieben ranking show “The world is amazed – the most emotional moments that change life”. The US action comedy “Don’t mess with Zohan” with Adam Sandler and John Turturro on RTLzwei had 600,000 viewers (2.1 percent).
