Almost £11,000 for Harrison Ford’s Star Wars script
Actor Harrison Ford is said to have left the script behind in a London apartment he rented during filming. Now the leaf collection went under the hammer.
The script was purchased by an Austrian private collector, PA reported. The auction house Excalibur Auctions in Kings Langley near London had previously estimated that it would fetch around 8,000 to 12,000 pounds.
Contains non-filmed scenes
According to the auction house, Ford left the script and other documents in an apartment in London that was rented during filming. Ford’s former landlords, who were renting out the top floors of their house in the Notting Hill district, now wanted to have them auctioned off.
The incomplete and unbound script also includes scenes that were later omitted, PA reported. Ford also left other objects behind. A letter to him was auctioned for just under 180 pounds, and a collection of other documents including a filming schedule and notes went under the hammer for around 4,800 pounds.
