A failed overtaking maneuver was the trigger for a traffic accident on state road 2080 between Ebersberg and Schwaberwegen early on Friday evening.
The two cars collided sideways, police said, causing one of the drivers to lose control of the vehicle. The car broke through a deer fence and drove into the forest, where it collided with a tree. The two occupants of that car and the driver of the other car were taken to hospital by ambulance. Both cars were badly damaged. The state road had to be temporarily closed by the Ebersberg and Forstinning fire brigades.
