High property damage, a slightly injured driver and hours of traffic jams at rush hour are the results of an accident that occurred early Thursday morning at Ostkreuz Munich near Vaterstetten.
At around 5:50 a.m., a 20-year-old was driving on the transition between the A99 towards Passau and the A94 towards Nuremberg when he lost control of his car for unknown reasons. This came off the road to the left and drove straight ahead into a green area. He rolled over several times and finally came to rest on the driver’s side in a bush. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The vehicle involved in the accident was no longer drivable and was towed away.
Due to the accident, the turning lane on the A94 in the direction of Passau had to be closed for around two and a half hours. The police estimate the damage at around 22,000 euros. The Vaterstetten fire brigade was on site to secure the accident site.
