According to Nice morningthe aircraft came from Lausanne, Switzerland, and was heading for Monaco with, on board, the pilot and at least one passenger of Russian nationality.

The public prosecutor of Nice also indicates that a “de [ses] substitutes go on site” and that “the air transport gendarmerie brigade (BGTA) and the research section (SR) of the gendarmerie have been seized of the investigation”.
Currently, 53 firefighters are working on site where there is “no risk of fire spreading to the vegetation”, indicates Sdis 06. “The firefighters’ Dragon 06 helicopter flew over the area and noted the presence of debris,” say the emergency services.
