At least 2,000 people attend a rave party

Notice to partygoers: it’s happening in Aveyron this weekend. At least 2,000 people participated in a rave party near Millau on Saturday evening, without causing any incident, according to the sub-prefect of this Aveyron town.

“There are a significant number of Italian and Spanish participants,” said the sub-prefect of Millau Véronique Martin Saint-Léon. This rave party, which started during the night from Friday to Saturday, takes place on the Larzac plateau, between Millau and La Cavalerie, also in Aveyron.

“They told us they will be there until Monday or Tuesday morning. The peak of the party will probably be tonight and during the day tomorrow,” continued Ms. Martin Saint-Léon.

The number of participants, which could increase on Saturday evening or during the night from Saturday to Sunday, “will decrease from tomorrow (Sunday) at the end of the afternoon, depending on the information we have in our possession” , she added.

In the meantime, “we are here to ensure the health safety of participants. We organized a presence of civil protection associations (…) with law enforcement officers who are around.” “There were a few bobologies, but nothing that was not controlled,” according to the sub-prefect.
