At Fürstenfeldbrucker Leonhardifahrt horses overrun two people – Fürstenfeldbruck

Before the start of the event, two participants in the Leonhardi ride in Fürstenfeldbruck were injured due to horses running away. This is reported by the Brucker police retroactively to the traditional event that took place last Saturday with thousands of spectators after a break of several years in the district town.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on the landing, when the horses of a four-horse carriage, which was just going to the installation site, bolted for no apparent reason. Two companions of the carriage tried to calm down the animals from the ground and to hold them down. A 36-year-old man from Dießen fell and was run over by the horses. He was taken to hospital with a suspected broken palm and various abrasions.

The second companion also fell and was slightly injured. During the incident, the carriage’s drawbar broke, which in turn injured two horses. Shortly thereafter, the horses were brought under control again so that no other people were endangered. The carriage suffered damage of 3,000 euros.
