The bombing of Pforzheim was 77 years ago. After a celebration to commemorate the event, violent clashes break out between police officers and demonstrators.
At a rally following the commemoration of the 77th anniversary of the bombing of Pforzheim, there was a dispute between participants and police officers.
Police officers used pepper spray and batons to prevent a barrier from being breached, police said at night.
According to the information, around 600 people had gathered at the station square and then moved towards Wartberg. The officials had set up a barrier on the Wartberg plateau to protect the meeting, it was said. According to their own statements, several demonstrators attacked the emergency services there, tried to break through barriers and used umbrellas as weapons, among other things.
There were also attackers who threw firecrackers at the police, kicked and hit them. A police officer was injured. Police used pepper spray and a baton to prevent the barricade from being breached. The congregation was eventually dissolved. Personal details were collected from around 240 participants, it was said.
