A 22-year-old admits that he tried to set a Jewish church on fire while drunk on New Year’s Eve. However, he does not claim to have had a solid right-wing extremist attitude.
The images are hard to beat in terms of disgust. The presiding judge puts one thing after the other on the projector, sometimes you see sayings about Nazi concentration camps, sometimes infamous things about minorities, twice malicious things about Anne Frank. The images come from a chat that was found on a 22-year-old’s cell phone. He is said to have tried to set fire to the synagogue in Ermreuth, Upper Franconia, on the night of New Year’s Day 2023.
