Arnaud Lagardère resigns from his mandate as CEO after his indictment

Arnaud Lagardère, director of the Lagardère group, abandoned his executive mandates on Tuesday, including that of CEO, after being indicted as part of investigations into the financing of personal expenses by his companies, the company announced.

A “provisional measure prohibiting management”

“As part of his indictment, a provisional measure prohibiting management was pronounced against Mr. Arnaud Lagardère, a measure which he contests and against which he will appeal, but which nevertheless forces him to resign from his executive mandates within the group,” Lagardère said in a press release.

This indictment of the counts of “dissemination of false or misleading information, vote buying, abuse of corporate assets and abuse of power and non-filing of accounts” took place following a day of hearing by judges financial instruction.
