Two Argentinian paddleboarders will probably never forget this encounter. On their trip out to sea off the coastal town of Monte Hermoso, whales suddenly appeared alongside them. Twelve whales swam next to them for about an hour, Valentin Villalba and his buddy Diego Schulz reported to local media. They couldn’t tell what kind it was. However, according to the water sports enthusiasts, they were not afraid of the sea giants. Rather a great feeling of joy. Reason enough to get up close and personal with the whales. Apparently, the animals themselves also needed contact. However, the water sports enthusiast survived the push from the board without any problems.
