“Testo”, the new series by and with Kida Ramadan about a failed bank robbery, is a kind of intentionally unintentional parody of itself.
In prison, people shave their heads bald and brush their teeth with their own blood. Gangster rap is playing and people are smoking instead of talking. You don’t need words to understand that Keko (Kida Khodr Ramadan), Stulle (Frederick Lau), Pepsi (Stipe Erceg), Barro (Veysel Gelin) and Kongo (Mortel Joverte) have big plans. As if it were a matter of course, the convicted criminals in episode one walk out of the Moabit prison and soon into a bank. This is where the seven episodes of Testo and soon also a hostage situation.
