Architecture award “Houses of the Year” goes to Straw Bale House – Culture

The “House of the Year” looks like a barn and is made of straw bales, wood and clay – and you need a hedge trimmer to build it.

And the winner is… a house made of straw bales. Whoever moderated the Architecture Oscar Gala on Wednesday evening in Munich (the plan was Jörg Thadeusz): The “House of the Year”, designed by Florian Kaiser and Guobin Shen from Stuttgart, probably deserves a subtle smile, subtly ironic have. In the sense of: What is that? Thunderous applause would also be appropriate. In the sense of: crazy! If you dream of straw bales, you may be dreaming of receiving an architecture award.
