Last week we reported that in addition to the iPhone 15, Apple will also present the 2nd generation of Apple Watch Ultra and Apple Watch Series 9 at the event, and now Mark writes that the next generation of wireless headphones AirPods Pro will be revealed along with them.
Don’t expect big changes, but there will still be some interesting innovations. First up is a charging case with a USB-C connector. That means Apple headphones, like other devices, are moving from the proprietary Lightning connector to USB-C.
Apple is also testing a new hearing test feature. The headphones will play various tones and noises to determine how well the user is hearing and alert them to any problems. In the long term, Gurman said Apple is working on adding additional health sensors to the AirPods to capture indicators like body temperature through the ear canal.
