It was only in June that Apple introduced the last member of the M2 processor family, the M2 Ultra. Less than five months later, the Mac manufacturer is already launching the next generation. And Apple is not just sending the basic chip into the race with the M3, as was previously the case, but is also introducing the much more powerful SoCs M3 Pro and M3 Max at the same time (more on this below).
The new Apple chips will first be used in the MacBook Pro. Apple is ending the product cycle of the MacBook Pro 13″. The design with Touch Bar, which has existed since 2016, has now had its day; in the future, a MacBook Pro 14″ with an M3 chip will act as an entry-level device in the Pro class – previously this display size was only available with the Pro – or Max chips. The screen is not only larger, but also significantly brighter and smoother thanks to 120 Hz.
These are the colors of the MacBook Pros: silver at the bottom, space gray in the middle and space black at the top.
