Apple is launching two new MacBook Pro models with new in-house semiconductors. The Californian company announced on Monday that the chips are more powerful than earlier Apple semiconductors. In doing so, they used less energy than products from rivals such as Intel or AMD. Most recently there were reports that the group could not produce millions of smartphones because of the global chip supply bottlenecks. The now promised new MacBook Pro models will be available with 14 and 16-inch displays at base prices of just under $ 2,000 and $ 2,500. Apple also presented new AirPod headphones on Monday, which are said to be water and sweat resistant and therefore particularly suitable for sports. Accessory items such as AirPods have been top sellers in the Christmas business in the past.
