“Unleashed” – unleashed. With this motto, Apple invites you to a live presentation in the home of Cupertino on October 18th, purely virtual, of course. Unleashed event: what will Apple show?
The rumor mill has been simmering for the past few weeks. New notebooks are considered to be almost safe. After the first computers with their own M1 chips were presented last year, the successors are now eagerly awaited. The chip, which is rumored to be M1X, should be significantly faster again, which would also fit the motto of the event.
But especially the new Macbook Pro should offer more change than just a new processor. According to the rumor mill, Apple is now also to adapt its premium notebooks to the new design line, which first found its way into the iPad and now also the iPhone and even the iMac. According to this, the previous slight curves are to be replaced by clear edges, the unpopular touchbar will be deleted and replaced by classic function keys. In addition, the devices should get an SD card slot again.
FaceID in the Mac?
In order to be able to implement the new design, the Macbook Pro should even get an element of the iPhone: In the upper edge, as with the iPhone, a recess for the front camera and a loudspeaker should be visible in the display. The significantly narrower screen edge should make it possible to enlarge the display diagonal of the small MacBook Pro from 13 to 14 inches without changing the housing dimensions. Leaked images show the notch unexpectedly wide. And raise the question of whether Apple may finally introduce FaceID facial recognition in its computers with the new notebooks.
AirPods 3: are new headphones coming?
Apple’s popular headphones could also get a new edition, according to the rumor mill. What exactly will set it apart from its predecessors and the Pro model is not yet clear. But there should definitely be innovations: According to rumors, Apple wants to keep the second generation AirPods in its range as a cheap alternative, so the new devices should definitely offer added value.
