Tech giant Apple is known for aggressively protecting its brands. Now he even wants to protect lifelike images of an apple in Switzerland – to the annoyance of the venerable fruit associations in the country.
Jimmy Mariéthoz is confident even if his opponent is powerful. “Apple didn’t invent the apple,” says the director of the Swiss Fruit Association. “We’ve been around for 111 years. And I think apples have been around a few thousand years longer.”
