The first two “Rocky” films were the hardest, recalled Carl Weathers. In order to make the fight scenes in the boxing ring as realistic as possible, they shot and boxed eight to ten hours a day, eight days in a row, without a break. “It drains you completely, your body gets hot and cold, hot and cold, hot and cold, and of course that’s exactly the moment you get injured.
